I'm Peggy Chen and I've been practicing as a psychologist in the province of Alberta, Canada since 2015. I work with adults struggling with trauma, dissociation, anger, impulsivity, emotions management, shame, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. My approach to therapy is fundamentally existential; I believe in each person's unique and universal capacity to change and improve their lives in spite of their circumstances, past and present.
In therapy; my hope is to help people define, discover, and strengthen meaning in their lives. While alleviating symptoms and suffering are part of the journey, my greater hope is to help you find a path towards enhancing fulfillment, purpose, and authenticity in your life.
With training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care; I hope to meet with you so that together, we may find ways to enhance the quality of your life in ways most meaningful to you.
